Woody Nook at Woodcote is located opposite the green and cricket
pitch in this typical English village, just 20 minutes from the M4
motorway and about thirty from Reading, Henley-on-Thames and Oxford.
As the photographs depict, the restaurant is ivy and vine-clad and most
attractive, surrounded by a myriad of seasonal colourful flowers. Its
wooden beams, low ceilings and leaded windows create a cosy, rustic
ambience for an informal dining experience. The recent refurbishment has
given the restaurant a fresh, more elegant look without detracting from
its relaxing ‘feel’.
The name Woody Nook derives from
our vineyard in the Margaret River
region of Western Australia. The full range of our multi-award winning
boutique wines are included on our wine list; the bar has been made from
barrels and timber from the property and photographs of it, enlarged and
printed on to canvas, provide unique and appropriate artwork for the
restaurant walls.
‘International cuisine with an Australian flair’ is our theme and Head
Chef Stuart Shepherd has designed many delicious dishes to fit this
billing, for both lunch and dinner, as described on our
Menu pages.
Please come and enjoy our charming setting together with a high standard
of food, wine and friendly service.
