Semillon Sauvignon Blanc

This blend of 65% Semillon and 35% Sauvignon Blanc is fresh and vibrant. Tropical fruit, melon and grassy aromas offer appealing intensity of fruit on the palate, which is complemented by the long, lingering crisp, finish.

Sauvignon Blanc

An intense varietal nose leads to a delicate and elegant palate. There is good continuation of fruit flavour on the finish, which is fresh and crisp. Enjoy by itself or with seafood, pasta or light meat dishes.

Chenin Blanc

The Woody Nook Chenin Blanc has sweet tropical fruits on the palate with a honeyed smoothness and a refreshing finish. Enjoy by itself of as an ideal accompaniment to spicy food.

Kelly's Farewell Chardonnay

This Chardonnay is totally unwooded. It has delicate, appealing characteristics of pear, lime and grapefruit, with a rounded, lingering finish.

Velvet Rose

Each year Woody Nook's winemaker, Neil Gallagher, makes Velvet Rose slightly differently. This one is a blend of 80% Chenin Blanc and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon (which had been in French oak for six years). It is slightly sweet and has an abundance of luscious berry flavours, with an aromatic nose and a finish of lingering velvety smoothness. Whether served at room temperature during the winter months or well chilled on hot summer days and nights, it is equally delightful.

Cabernet Merlot

This fine blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Merlot has spicy fruit and cedary oak bouquet and a fruit driven palate with firm but rounded tannins and exceptional length.

Merlot

This 100% Merlot shows excellent colour and bouquet and has a depth of fruit with wood overtones. The palate has good structure and complexity, yet is still very soft with good acid balance. A very versatile wine.

Gallagher’s Choice Cabernet Sauvignon  

Woody Nook’s “Gallagher’s Choice’ Cabernet Sauvignon is a classic, full-bodied Margaret River style Cab. Sauv. Vibrant and complex, with a nose of ripe, mulberry-scented fruit with dusty overtones, the palate is well balanced. The 2007 vintage won a trophy at the 2009 International Wine & Spirit Competition in London, plus several gold medals and trophies for Best Dry Red and Best Cabernet Sauvignon in major Australian wine shows. The “Killdog Creek” Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 has a herbaceous, cedary nose with sweet red fruits evident on a savoury, well balanced palate.

Shiraz

This Shiraz exhibits a tinge of white pepper and dark plum fruit characteristics on the nose, which carry over to
a well-rounded palate. Maturation for two years in American oak barriques adds vanillin notes to the wine. Enjoy now or be rewarded by cellaring for 6-8 years.
