New Vineyard
Woody Nook Wines have purchased 50 acres of land immediately adjacent to their current property which will enable a substantial increase to their current 17 acre vineyard size. A dam has to be built first to provide initial irrigation for the new vines and then these will be planted during 2007. Watch out for some exciting new varietals in 2012!
The Winery

Woody Nook WineryWoody Nook is a genuine boutique winery, producing around 5,000 cases a year.  However, new plantings in 2007 will double the size of Woody Nook's single vineyard, which is nestled in the Margaret River wine-growing region of Western Australia, a three hour drive south of Perth - the state capital - and six miles from the Indian Ocean.

The 17 acre established vineyard is not irrigated, resulting in low yields, full fruit flavours and distinctive varietal characteristics. The soil is a rich, gravely loam; winters are mild with moderate rainfall; and summers are long, warm and sunny, all ideal conditions for promoting quality grape production.

Neil Gallagher - Winemaker
Woody Nook is family-owned and run, unpretentious and small, but proud of the critical acclaim second generation winemaker and viticulturist Neil Gallagher consistently receives. In the past decade his wines have won more than 170 awards, including 25 Gold and 45 Silver Medals.
